The Gift Card

The minute your feet hit the ground this morning, you were handed two gift cards.

The first gift card is loaded with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

The second gift card is loaded with little white lies, gossiping, sharp words, eye rolling, short tempers, anger, pride, jealousy, doubt, and hate.

Both gift cards are unlimited, and you will use them multiple times today. Which gift card you choose to use, however, is entirely up to you. Choose wisely, because the recipient will know which gift card you reached for today. But only you will know which one you reached for more often.

  2. Hey Erin,

I just wanted to tell you that your gift card poem was lovely.I'd like to add that not only do we know how many times we reached for that second gift card,so does God. And every time we swipe that card a tear roles down His cheek. We don't know how we will touch someone's life today. Perhaps it is the turning point to whether or not they accept Christ. And the way we respond to them or act toward them could either be edifying or detrimental. So, with that in mind which card will you reach for?
