DIY Brownie Bowl

It's delicious.

It's delightful.

It's chocolaty goodness.

It's a DIY brownie in a bowl.

You know those "Warm Delight" brownie bowls from Betty Crocker? Yeah - those. With the drizzles of hot fudge or caramel...yummmm.

But they're expensive for a little treat. You could buy a whole box of brownies for the price of one of those little things. But I've discovered the secret. I sacrificed my body, testing countless batches, to make sure the measurements are spot on. Ok, slight exaggeration. I only had to make it twice. So here you go - a quick and easy treat that you can make at the office or at home when you're in dire need of a chocolate fix and don't want to make an entire pan of brownies. By the way - this is "Jack approved." That's his empty bowl above. Don't ask why there are two spoons. It's Jack...what else can be said?? ;-D

DIY BROWNIE BOWL

1/4 cup brownie mix (I heart Betty Crocker's Dark Chocolate)
1 Tbls water
1 tsp water
pinch of cinnamon

Stir all ingredients in a bowl or mug. Microwave for 50-60 seconds (depending on your microwave's strength). Eat it straight or throw some whipped cream and sprinkles on top. Or feel free to eat the whipped cream and sprinkles separately from the brownie. That's OK too.

  1. Should one of those "waters" be oil perhaps?

  2. Nope - no oil! Trust me, you don't need it. It requires slightly more than a tablespoon of water, so the tablespoon/teaspoon combo is spot on. It's actually what you add when eating one of the Betty Crocker bowls.
